Carol Johnson-Davis

Carol Johnson Davis serves as Executive Director for the Diabetes Association of Atlanta. Her role is to insure the overall management of all programs and services provided by the Association in keeping with the Association’s mission of improving the quality of life of people with diabetes through education, screening and medical assistance.

Previously, Ms. Davis completed the last several years as an attorney in private practice concentrating in the area of contracts and real estate. She served as manager of New Business at Dun & Bradstreet, an attorney with Georgia Tech Research Institute and a Senior Manager of Contracts for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. In these capacities, she administered and managed multi-million dollar contracts.

Ms. Davis received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her juris doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. She has additionally received training as a mediator.

Ms. Davis is active in numerous civic organizations. She serves on the board of the Youth Ensemble of Atlanta, and is a member of Hoosier Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ms. Davis is married to Dr. Edward L. Davis, Interim Dean of the Business School at Clark Atlanta University. They have one son Brian, age 23. Brian was diagnosed as with diabetes at the age of 12. The Davis family has been extensively involved in the study of the management of diabetes and is committed to the cure, and the improved quality of life for similarly situated individuals.
