With five years of experience in the financial service sector, seven years in sales and marketing and over nineteen years of experience as an entrepreneur, Michael T. Hill directed his passion and commitment to ensuring the black community grows sustainable and profitable businesses through the formation of the Atlanta Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce. Founder, CEO & President Michael T. Hill established the Atlanta Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce (AMBCC) in January 2005. In just a few years, the AMBCC has become one of the fasting growing organizations in the metropolitan Atlanta area and is the 2010 Chamber of the Year recipient of the Georgia Minority Business Award.

The AMBCC continues to pride itself on adhering to an action oriented and solution based approach, which includes the implementation of its vision for creating businesses that will result in sustainable wealth and create jobs that will improve the lifestyle of diverse communities.

Prior to starting the AMBCC, Mr. Hill began his pursuit of education at Clark Atlanta University majoring in the field of marketing. While enrolled at Clark Atlanta University, he served in many leadership roles including: president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Alpha Phi Chapter, president of the NAACP, founded the Pre-Alumni council and served as the Southern Regional Director for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). While in college, he followed his passion for entrepreneurship by starting a profitable entertainment, management and production company and also established a successful wireless telecommunications company which he expanded throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area. Today, Mr. Hill owns Econic Industries which develops and invests in business enterprises focused on the environmental and alternative energy sector.

As a small business owner, Mr. Hill fully understands the challenges and struggles associated with business ownership. Always committed to better understanding the interplay of business, community and government, Michael strives to stay well informed and connected to key stakeholders throughout the world.

Mr. Hill currently serves as a certified lobbyist for the state of Georgia, serves on the board of directors for the following organizations: Greater Columbus Minority Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, Georgia Economic Alliance, Atlanta Job Corp Workforce, and the Georgia College and State University G.R.E.E.N. Initiative

Mr. Hill has been featured as one of the top 50 Rising Stars by the Atlanta Business Journal, featured in the Atlanta Tribune magazine and occasionally appears on local radio and television programs sharing his expertise on entrepreneurship and forming green enterprises that results in job creation.

As Mr. Hill continues to work tirelessly for his community, he also is committed to his own family which includes his wife, Dr. Melonie Hill and his three lovely daughters, Christian Amari Carington Anise, and Cheridan Antoinette Hill.

His vision for 2020 is clear. According to Mr. Hill, “We clearly see what needs to be done and we have the means to do it…”
