Wanya Moorer

Wanya Moorer is a Community Liaison with VITAS Healthcare and works with the underserved community as part of the access initiative program. She is responsible for educating, supporting and working with the African American community. She has formed partnerships with various senior facilities, municipalities, civic, faith based and medical organizations to dispel the myths about hospice and bring awareness to the community.
Prior to joining VITAS, Wanya worked with Goodwill as an advocate for individuals with barriers assisting them with securing and maintaining employment. Wanya has always enjoyed and finds it rewarding working in roles that allow her to serve others. Wanya is a graduate of Miles College and is active in the community. She is a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program and various homeless shelters. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Sisters Like Us Book Club and Linked Up Church. She is also a member of the Morehouse School of Medicine Community Advisory Board and a member of the Atlanta Tuskegee Airman Chapter.
